Making off sesi\u00f3n de estudio – Nikon D4 – Nikkor 24-70mm VRII<\/p><\/div>\n

Siempre he pensado que si mi profesi\u00f3n hubiese sido taxista probablemente tendr\u00eda un Mercedes como herramienta de trabajo ya que si tuviese que pasar muchas horas trabajando, me gustar\u00eda tener lo mejor y es que cada vez que utilizo un taxi odio montar en un coche que no est\u00e9 a la altura.<\/p>\n

Afortunadamente mi profesi\u00f3n es fot\u00f3grafo y aunque exige muchas veces inversiones tambi\u00e9n caras, no siempre tiene que ser as\u00ed, especialmente cuando lo que te preocupa m\u00e1s es la luz y el encuadre que el fetichismo que todos llevamos dentro con los temas relacionados con aparatos como las c\u00e1maras de fotos.<\/p>\n

Hace un par de a\u00f1os en Alemania en concreto en el circuito de N\u00fcrburging me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n un colega austriaco que el equipo fotogr\u00e1fico que llevaba era alquilado pues seg\u00fan su teor\u00eda por muchos motivos entre los que inclu\u00eda la obsolescencia, era m\u00e1s rentable alquilar que invertir. Si soy sincero pens\u00e9 que era un bicho raro pero con el paso del tiempo creo que no le faltaba raz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

En mi opini\u00f3n es bueno tener un buen equipo para trabajar y si puedes el mejor pero si te aconseja un economista es posible que te aconseje el alquiler. De lo que estoy seguro es que al menos en mi caso, los trabajos en estudio hay que hacerlos en un estudio profesional con un buen plat\u00f3 y con profesionales en controlar la luz como ayuda indispensable en una sesi\u00f3n de calidad.<\/p>\n

En este caso quiero compartir con vosotros uno de mis \u00faltimos trabajos realizados para\u00a0Rawfotosport<\/a>\u00a0de la que soy cofundador junto con amigo y colega Guillermo Mart\u00ednez. El trabajo era nada menos que fotografiar un art car o lo que es lo mismo un coche pintado de manera art\u00edstica. El reto era complicado pues si ya es dif\u00edcil hacer fotos en estudio a un coche normal, en este trabajo adem\u00e1s se suma la dificultad de conseguir los colores que el artista puso en su \u201clienzo con ruedas\u201d.<\/p>\n

El artista Miguel \u00c1ngel de Villota tambi\u00e9n amigo y muy conocido y reconocido en su entorno como Villotaf, que se define como m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las formas. Son numerosas sus exposiciones y estoy seguro que esta obra dar\u00e1 mucho que hablar. Desde aqu\u00ed le deseo lo mejor, se lo merece, por cierto te aconsejo visites su\u00a0p\u00e1gina web<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pero retomemos el hilo de la fotograf\u00eda. Desde hace a\u00f1os tengo un estudio port\u00e1til que utilizo fundamentalmente para realizar retratos y trabajos de estudio de peque\u00f1o calibre como moda, reproducci\u00f3n etc., pero no dispongo de un estudio con capacidad para albergar e iluminar un coche a tama\u00f1o natural.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s este tipo de trabajos requieren de la ayuda de\u00a0 un experto en iluminaci\u00f3n, un profesional que con solo decirle por ejemplo que hay un brillo que no quieres, \u00a0r\u00e1pidamente es capaz de hacer una modificaci\u00f3n puntual en la iluminaci\u00f3n para corregir ese problema sin modificar el resto. Todo esto y mucho m\u00e1s es lo que puedes contratar alquilando un estudio profesional y por supuesto no debes plantearte el realizar una inversi\u00f3n de ese calibre pues resultar\u00eda ruinosa.<\/p>\n

En nuestro caso contratamos el alquiler uno de los mejores estudios que conozco, me refiero a Daylight Studios. Si eres profesional seguro que lo conoces pues es un estudio que lleva m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os en el mercado y cuenta con todo tipo de profesionales adem\u00e1s de disponer de varios plat\u00f3s as\u00ed como todo tipo de material de iluminaci\u00f3n, fondos,\u00a0 incluso equipos fotogr\u00e1ficos full frame y medio formato.<\/p>\n

Dada la magnitud de nuestro trabajo, decidimos alquilar el plat\u00f3 grande que cuenta con un ciclorama blanco de 12 metros de ancho, 7 metros de profundidad y m\u00e1s de 4 metros de altura. Una delicia para recibir a nuestro lienzo con ruedas.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s decidimos alquilar 2 Generadores Profoto Pro 8a \u00a02.400ws, 2 Antorchas Profoto Pro Head, 2 Giant Silver Profoto 210 cm + Difusor 1f-stop, 2 Tripodes Manfrotto Wind-up, 3 Air Remote Profoto para conectar a las tres c\u00e1maras que llevamos, en concreto 1 Nikon D4, 1 Canon 1Dx y una Hasselblad 503CX con respaldo digital Phase One.<\/p>\n

Pero en mi opini\u00f3n era mucho m\u00e1s importante el equipo humano que el fotogr\u00e1fico y as\u00ed fue pues durante toda la sesi\u00f3n nos acompa\u00f1\u00f3 como ayudante Nano Hern\u00e1ndez para modelar, mover tocar y todo lo que fuimos necesitando en cada momento. Incluso para realizar la famosa toma con para el balance de blanco y carta de color.<\/p>\n

Iluminar un coche no es tarea f\u00e1cil pues sus cristales a veces reflejan objetos o cosas no deseables. Por otra parte a veces resulta interesante alg\u00fan reflejo que destaque su l\u00ednea pero en este caso ese tema era delicado pues \u00bfte imaginas un cuadro de Mir\u00f3 con unos reflejos de flash?, quedar\u00eda mal, verdad?.<\/p>\n

En ese trabajo fue esencial la ayuda de Nano y por supuesto el trabajo en equipo de todos los que participamos en la sesi\u00f3n. Olvid\u00e9 comentar que result\u00f3 de gran ayuda la conexi\u00f3n en todo momento de las c\u00e1maras a nuestros ordenadores pues es la \u00fanica manera de controlar cada disparo de una manera precisa y as\u00ed poder ajustar por ejemplo en 1\/3 la potencia de cada unidad de luz. Este sistema de conectar la c\u00e1mara a un ordenador bien sea por cable, wifi,\u00a0 etc., es conocido como tethering.<\/p>\n

Volviendo al hilo de la entrada es m\u00e1s que aconsejable al menos en este caso alquilar un estudio profesional pues invertir en uno de este calibre es posible que salvo excepciones sea muy dif\u00edcil de amortizar. Eso sin contar con el valor a\u00f1adido del personal que tambi\u00e9n puedes contratar. Quiz\u00e1s alguno se est\u00e9 preguntando el precio de todo esto, pues bien si tienes que hacer un trabajo serio y profesional te aseguro que es rentable alquilar en lugar de invertir.<\/p>\n

Si he de ser sincero me ha encantado hacer fotos a una obra de este calibre y me ha encantado trabajar en un sitio con un equipo humano con tan buena predisposici\u00f3n, ah! Y los caf\u00e9s est\u00e1n incluidos que es de agradecer.<\/p>\n

Invest or rent<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

I always thought that if my career had been a taxi driver would probably have a Mercedes as a working tool and if I had to spend many hours working, I like to have the best and that is that every time I use a taxi hate riding in a car that is not to match.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fortunately my profession is a photographer and although investments are also often requires expensive and not always be so, especially when you care about most is the light and framing that fetishism in all of us with issues appliances like cameras photo .<\/span><\/p>\n

A couple of years in Germany specifically in Nurburging circuit I noticed a fellow Austrian carrying photographic equipment was rented because according to his theory for many reasons including obsolescence included , was more profitable to rent than to invest. If I’m honest I thought it was a freak but over time I think he was right .<\/span><\/p>\n

In my opinion it is good to have a good team to work and if you can the best but if you can suggest an economist advise you rent. From what I am sure is that at least in my case study work need to be done in a professional studio with a good set and professionals to help control light necessary in a quality session .<\/span><\/p>\n

In this case I want to share with you one of my latest works for\u00a0Rawfotosport<\/a>\u00a0of which I am co-founder along with friend and colleague Guillermo Martinez. The work was nothing less than photographing an art car or what is the same as a car painted in an artistic way . The challenge was complicated because if it is difficult to take pictures in a normal car study , this study also adds the difficulty of getting the colors that the artist put on their \u00bb canvas with wheels\u00bb .<\/span><\/p>\n

The artist Michelangelo Villota also a friend and well known and recognized in their environment as Villotaf , defined as beyond the forms . But let us return to the thread of photography. For years I have a portable studio that I use mainly for portraits and studio work as fashion small caliber , reproduction etc. . , But I do not have a study and illuminate capacity for life-size car .<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides this type of jobs require the help of a lighting expert , a professional that just say for example that there is a glossy, no want, quickly is able to make a timely change in lighting to correct this problem without changing the rest . In our case the rent hire one of the best study I know , I mean Daylight Studios. Given the magnitude of our work , we decided to rent the largest set that features a white cyclorama of 12 meters wide , 7 meters deep and more than 4 meters high. A delight to receive our canvas with wheels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also decided to rent 2 Generators Profoto Pro 2.400ws the 8th , 2 Profoto Pro Head Torch , 2 Profoto Giant Silver 210 cm + 1f -stop diffuser , 2 Tripods Manfrotto Wind-up , 3 Profoto Air Remote to connect to the three cameras we carry, in Specifically one Nikon D4 , 1 Canon 1DX and a Hasselblad 503CX with Phase One digital back<\/span><\/p>\n

But in my opinion was much more important than the photo team and that was it for the entire session as assistant accompanied us to model Nano Hernandez , touch and move everything we need at all times. Even for taking famous for white balance and color chart.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lighting a car is not easy because their crystals sometimes reflect undesirable objects or things . Moreover sometimes it interesting some reflection that highlights his line but in this case the subject was delicate because you imagine a painting by Mir\u00f3 with flash reflexes ? , Would be bad, right? .<\/span><\/p>\n

In that work was essential the help of Nano and of course teamwork of all who participated in the session.
