La semana pasada asistí a uno de los saraos que de vez en cuando monta la gente de Capital un importante distribuidor Harley Davidson en Madrid.

En este caso la fiesta pintaba bien pues con el nombre de Harley Premiere Night, el distribuidor Capital nos presentaba los nuevos modelos Harley, aderezado con buena cerveza y una excelente actuación  de Gaby Jogeix.

Se que asistir a estas fiestas te puede salir bien o muy caras dependiendo de si te compras algo del amplio merchandising de la marca o te llevas una moto a tu gusto personalizada hasta las muelas. Afortunadamente en el mundo de las dos ruedas de momento estoy sobradamente satisfecho con mi “pequeña” Sporster y lo que si me atrae muchísimo siempre ha sido el glamour de la ropa y accesorios de esta marca  que quitando alguna chupa que puede llegar a 600 pavos puedes encontrar multitud de cosas a precios más que asequibles. Al menos eso me parece a mi si lo comparo con el merchandising de mi marca favorita de coches.

Pero me voy centrar en el mundo de la fotografía que es de lo que va este blog. Cuando me llegó el email con la invitación, lo primero que hice fue consultar si podía hacer fotos para mi colección e incluso para mi blog. La respuesta de los responsables de Capital fue inmediata y super positiva, me encantó y es que la gente Harley es encantadora, como los buenos moteros. Gracias señores!!

Para la ocasión me hubiese gustado llevar una cámara más, como diría,  más … “hierro” y pensaba en una telemétrica, pero a decir verdad, la idea de trabajar con poca luz, con una cámara que no se lleva bien con isos altos no me seducía. Para variar cargué con la Nikon D700 que ha sido la cámara que nunca me ha defraudado y es que da lo mismo que haya o no luz suficiente. Para no ir muy cargado me llevé el 24-70mm. f:2.8. Es el objetivo más usable en temas sociales y os recuerdo que nos vamos de fiesta, por si acaso echo también el flash Nikon SB800 que es algo más recogido que el SB900.

En este tipo de imágenes te puedes encontrar con un par de problemas que hay que saber resolver. Uno es que tienes que estar muy atento a todo lo que sucede pues te puedes perder muchas y buenas fotos irrepetibles. El otro problema es, como no, la luz. Si que es cierto que nuestra cámara es capaz de trabajar con ISOS muy altos sin despeinarse y sin sacar apenas grano pero el problema lo encontraremos cuando veamos las imágenes y veamos muchas diferencias en el balance de blancos pues como es lógico las fuentes de iluminación en estos casos suelen emitir temperaturas de color muy dispares. La única solución que suelo utilizar en estos casos es el retoque por zonas con programas que disponen de la tecnología Upoint. Pero tranquilo pues si sigues ese blog te adelanto que en alguna entrada próxima haremos un monográfico sobre este tema. Actualmente ya estoy desarrollando la gestión de color para que se quede en una página fija acompañado a la que ya existe sobre la distancia hiperfocal.

Utilicé muy poco el flash pues me gusta más la luz ambiente y eso que en ocasiones si no te acuerdas de mover los ISO, pueden salir imágenes un poco movidas pero … que también pueden quedar bien. En la siguiente foto disparé desde la cintura sin que el protagonista se diese cuenta, eso sí pongo la foto ya que posteriormente hablé con él «modelo» e incluso se ofreció a posar en una foto de grupo. Puede ser que alguno de vosotros no le guste esta foto pero en mi opinión tiene «vida».

Una vez allí la fiesta no defraudó y me encantó el buen ambiente además de encontrar a un buen amigo, Dani, antiguo compañero de trabajo que compartía conmigo la afición por todo aquello que tiene motor de dos o cuatro ruedas.

Respecto a las fotografías que podía tomar, pues no era el día de hacer imágenes increíbles de esas preciosas motos y tocaba hacer fotos de social, algo que he hecho en muchas ocasiones pero que reconozco no es mi pasión. Aun así disfruté haciendo fotos a esas chupas coloreadas y que alguna era tapada por la hermosa melena de su dueña. Las dichosas chupas personalizas con esos llamativos colores me apasionan y no me puedo resistir a fotografiarlas. Y si además contamos con buenas modelos y un buen fondo, …

También hice alguna foto divertida a gente que me pidió, como los integrantes de este grupo, Capital Chapter que suelen salir con sus  motos Harley todos los fines de semana.

No podía faltar las fotos del grupo Gaby Jogeix que con su concierto en directo nos hicieron disfrutar a tope. Con los cinco sentidos a tope todos disfrutamos de una fiesta que nos hizo olvidar un rato todas las noticias negativas que aparecen sobre la marcha de la economía y la dichosa crisis.

Ahora si me permites voy a poner alguna foto de otra fiesta, también de Capital y que me lleve la D700 pero con ópticas Hasselblad con enfoque manual. Los colores y la calidad de estas ópticas en una cámara full frame son espectaculares. El único pero es que esa vez no me pude resistir y compré una chupa de piel de las buenas, menos mal que tenían descuento.

Para terminar voy a incluir una foto que le hice a mi “pequeña” el verano pasado cuando volvía de hacer una sesión de fotos a una modelo en la playa. A mi vuelta, de repente me deslumbró el reflejo del sol en el retrovisor y rápidamente se me ocurrió la idea de hacer un contraluz aprovechando que iba cargado con la cámara y los flashes.   Podía parar y hacer esa foto a contraluz con la imagen del duro sol pero iluminando la moto como se hace en strobist. Tuve muy poco tiempo para sacar el equipo y hacer la fotografía pues el sol ya estaba a punto de ponerse. Al final lo conseguí y el resultado fue bueno. La foto  acabó como fondo de pantalla en mi ordenador.

En fin, ya estoy deseando ir a la próxima cita motera de Capital y si es con luz natural, quién sabe lo mismo si que llevo la telemétrica para sufrir con el enfoque y de lo que estoy seguro es que disfrutaré con la familia Harley.

Jacket, Harley and camera … let us party

We could not miss the photos Jogeix Gaby group that live concert made us enjoy to the fullest. With the five senses to stop all enjoyed a party that made us forget for a while all the negative news that appear on the progress of the economy and the happy crisis.

Now if I may I put a picture of another party, also take me Capital and the D700 but with Hasselblad lenses with manual focus. The colors and quality of these lenses on a full frame camera are spectacular. The only but is that this time I could not resist and bought a leather sucks good, luckily had off.

In closing I will include a picture I made to my «little» last summer when he came to do a photo shoot of a model on the beach, I suddenly dazzled the sun’s reflection in the mirror and I quickly thought that since it was loaded with camera flashes and could stop and take a picture strobist backlit type. I had very little time to make the team and take the picture but the result was good and I got a photo that ran in the background on my computer screen.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the next appointment and if natural light, who knows what if I wear the same telemetry to suffer with the approach and I am sure I will enjoy it with family Harley.
