En esta ocasión no se bien como comenzar esta entrada   sin herir sensibilidades y es que hoy en día todo el mundo va realizando fotografías a todo lo que se menea .. o no.

Esa facilidad que ofrecen los teléfonos de tomar imágenes con muchos megapixels y cierta calidad y con el increíble poder de en pocos segundos ponerlas a disposición del mundo, nos convierte a todos en fotógrafos per se. Pero no pienses que esto me molesta pues personalmente soy defensor de todo aquello que sea paralelo a la creatividad y si bien el fotógrafo profesional debe contar con muchos conocimientos de su profesión a veces no todos tienen la capacidad de ser creativos y eso de la creatividad es más que interesante.

Hace poco tiempo la revista digital 9Republic me solicitó para su revista imágenes de making-off y fotos para Instagram, un programa que apenas conocía.

Me bajé la aplicación y rápidamente observé que Instagram es una aplicación diseñada para compartir de manera fácil y rápida instantáneas realizadas con nuestros teléfonos móviles. Además esta aplicación tiene la gracia de poder modificar sobre la marcha colores, marcos, …, vamos que podemos evocar las imágenes realizadas con las famos as Kodak Instamatic y Polaroid, dando así un efecto vintage ahora tan de moda. Es posible que tanto retoque fácil sature la sensibilidad del espectador pero de momento todos los usuarios de esta aplicación están encantados. Además compartir nuestras mascotas o nuestra creatividad es un adelanto se mire como se mire.

No me quiero enrollar con los orígenes e historia del programa pero resulta interesante conocer que esta aplicación esta disponible para Iphone, Ipad y Android pero no es usable en ordenadores al uso.

Quiero destacar un par de detalles de su funcionamiento. Para empezar podemos tomar una imagen desde la aplicación o bien cargarla de las que ya tenemos hechas. A continuación Instagram te da la posibilidad de recortar y reencuadrar la imagen y es que el formato que utiliza es cuadrado, si como el famoso medio formato de 6×6 que fue tan criticado y tan amado a la vez por los fotógrafos. Aquí si me quiero mojar y es que ese formato me tiene enamorado. Debido a esto, quizás es mejor hacer la imagen directamente desde la aplicación y así conocer desde el inicio como será el encuadre.

El otro tema es que una vez hecha y encuadrada la imagen, podemos utilizar distintos filtros y marcos para dar ese aspecto vintage que antes comentaba. Y eso es todo pues ya podemos poner nuestra “obra de arte” a disposición de todo el globo.

Se me olvidaba decir que si la imagen es importante para tener éxito, quizás lo es más la inclusión de los Hashtag o etiquetas que acompañaran a la foto pues si alguien busca por ejemplo una imagen de Ferrari, nuestra foto podrá aparecer si antes pusimos ese Hashtag en la foto.

También hay que tener en cuenta que la imagen que ponemos en la red ya retocada etc. tiene buena calidad para verla en un dispositivo móvil pero es muy pobre para utilizarla ya que Instagram hace una redimensión del original dejando el tamaño en 72 dpis, vamos que casi es inutilizable en otro medio distinto al teléfono móvil. Otro tema es que la originalidad de la imagen sea copiada y realizada por un fotógrafo que disponga de mejores medios pero ese es otro tema.

Hablando de originalidad, recientemente leí que uno de los autores que mayor éxito de seguidores que hay en Instagram, era un joven que por casualidad fotografió a su novia mientras ella tiraba de su mano. Esa idea gustó y el autor la está explotando ya que realiza fotos muy creativas siempre con la imagen esbelta de su novia y su mano. Por supuesto que cambian los fondos y la ropa a veces un poco atrevida de la joven.

Esto puede ser un poco el resumen de las claves del éxito actual de este programa que personalmente he comenzado a utilizar y que me ha sorprendido su facilidad y buena aceptación por parte de la gente.

Para terminar contaré una pequeña anécdota y es que probando los filtros del programa realicé una fotografía a unas zapatillas que tenía en el suelo. Por error esas horribles zapatillas muy retocadas las subí a la red y cual fue mi sorpresa que hubo muchos seguidores que pusieron “me gusta” y es que en el fondo la imagen quedó graciosa.

Estaremos atentos a las nuevas ideas que aporten los millones de usuarios de esta aplicación.

This time not as well start this entry without hurt feelings and is that today everyone will taking photographs of everything that wiggles .. or not.

That facility offering phones to take pictures with many megapixels and certain quality and the incredible power within seconds made available to the world, makes us all into photographers per se. But do not think this bothers me personally because I am a defender of all that is parallel to the creativity and while professional photographer should have much knowledge of their profession sometimes not everyone has the ability to be creative and that creativity is more interesting.

Magazine recently asked me 9Republic digital magazine for making-off images and photos to Instagram, a program that barely knew.

I downloaded the application and quickly noticed that Instagram is an application designed to share quick and easy snapshots made with our mobile phones. Besides, this application has the grace to change on the fly colors, frames, …, we we can evoke images taken with the Kodak Instamatic and famos as Polaroid, giving a vintage effect now so fashionable. You may easily saturate both touch sensitivity of the viewer but for now all users of this application are delighted.

I do not want to roll with the origins and history of the program, but it is interesting to know that this app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android but not usable in computers to use.

I want to highlight a few details of its operation. For starters we can take an image from the application or load it from the ones we have made. Instagram then gives you the possibility to cut and trim the image and is the format used is square, if like the famous 6×6 medium format that was so criticized and so loved by photographers while. Here if I want to get wet and this format is that you love me. Because of this, perhaps it is better to make the image directly from the application and get to know from the start as is the frame.

The other issue is that once made and framed the image, we can use different filters and frames to give that vintage look before commenting. And that’s all because we can put our «artwork» available around the globe.

I forgot to say that if the image is important to success, perhaps it is the inclusion of the Hashtag or labels that accompany the photo as if someone searches for example a picture of Ferrari, our picture will appear if put before the Hashtag in the photo.

Also keep in mind that the image we put on the network and so retouched. has good quality to view on a mobile device, but is very poor for use as Instagram makes resizing the original one leaving in 72 dpis size, we almost unusable in means other than the mobile phone. Another issue is that the originality of the image is copied and made by a photographer best means available but that’s another topic.

Speaking of originality, I recently read that one of the most successful authors who’s in Instagram followers, was a young man who accidentally photographed his girlfriend as she pulled her hand. Liked that idea and the author is exploding as it performs very creative photos always slender image of his girlfriend and her hand. Of course, change funds and clothing sometimes a bit daring of the young.

This may be a little summary of the keys to success of this program now that I have personally started using and that has surprised me ease and well accepted by the people.

Finally tell you a little anecdote is that the filters tested the program takes a shot at a shoe that was on the floor. Mistakenly heavily retouched those horrible slippers got on the network and what was my surprise that there were many followers who put «like» and that basically was funny image.
