Cuando uno recibe un encargo de unas fotografías específicas para un catálogo o una campaña determinada, lo normal es que el cliente informe de temas básicos como la idea que quiere transmitir y por supuesto el ADN de la empresa y su producto. Además es normal que también te envíen una idea desarrollada por los creativos de una agencia de publicidad con el  history board  o dibujo de las escenas.

Recibido esto, nuestra misión consiste en planificar al milímetro la o las sesiones que tenemos que realizar. En esta planificación se incluyen actores modelos que tenemos que contratar y firmar el contrato preceptivo, exteriores acorde a las necesidades de la sesión, ayudantes, maquilladores, atrezzo,  y como no, los equipos de fotografía e iluminación. Además es importante determinar la hora exacta de la sesión  y no dejar nada al azahar. También es necesario consultar las previsiones del tiempo que afortunadamente cada día son más precisas.

Con todo esto podemos hacer la sesión. Oh! Me olvidé del actor principal el producto, vaya, un fallo imperdonable y es que la planificación es precisamente para eso, para no olvidar nada y dejar la improvisación para otro tipo de fotografía.

En este caso la protagonista o actriz principal es una tabla de longboard, que para los que no lo sepan es una tabla con cuatro ruedas que sirve para deslizarse o patinar sin gastar nada de combustible a excepción de la energía que gasta el que la conduce o la disfruta. Lupita tan solo era una de las modelos que han intervenido en las sesiones.

Ahora si que ya tenemos todo, vaya! Tengo un whatsapp de una de las modelos, no puede venir.  Esto a veces ocurre y al final hay que pasar la sesión al día siguiente siempre y cuando nuestra agenda y la del resto de participantes lo permita. Otra vez a guardar todo el material hasta mañana.

Por fin se han alineado todos los planetas y comenzamos la primera sesión. Tenía poco tiempo para preparar todo pues la modelo llegó tarde y además tenía una reunión con un buen amigo.

Justo nada más empezar la sesión, apareció mi amigo Rubén que no se bien si se adelantó para ver, … dejémoslo ahí, pero lo cierto es que  Rubén es un personaje, inquieto, divertido. Por ello era consciente que me iba a incordiar más que ayudar, pero para eso están los amigos, no?.

Efectivamente en cuanto la modelo dejó su tabla, la cogió Rubén para probarla. Como sé que es muy atrevido y pensé que no tenía ni idea de patinar, lo más probable es que se diese un buen trastazo con la dichosa tabla por lo que le pedí que era mejor que se estuviese quieto.

Basta que a Rubén le digas una cosa para que haga la contraria, es así y quizás por eso le quiero. Con su look muy arreglado, pues venía de una reunión, ni corto ni perezoso se sube a la tabla y de repente veo que no solo sabe manejarla sino que su estilo es muy pero que muy bueno. Rápidamente cambio de objetivo, estaba trabajando con la Nikon D700, poniendo el Nikkor 70-200mm. VRII. Le pedí  que se acercara deslizándose con la tabla hacia mí y justo al lado de una raya contínua que había pintada en la calzada.

Coloqué rápidamente la cámara en la posición de multidisparo y con la medición del autofocus en seguimiento, un sistema que por cierto en Nikon es excepcional.

Tan solo tuve que realizar dos ráfagas, la primera en la que mi amigo puso cara de niño malo sabiendo lo mucho que me estaba sorprendiendo y la segunda ráfaga en la que ya más relajado obtuve unas imágenes que transmitían precisamente lo que necesitaba el cliente, un joven con buen look, casi «pijo» ya que esa marca fabrica tablas muy especiales, numeradas y con series especiales y que por ello su público objetivo es aquél que le gusta tener algo diferente aunque tenga que poner un poco más de dinero.

Las ráfagas las hice con el diafragma a f:2.8 con la idea de aislar a los elementos principales, la tabla y el patinador, pero envueltos en esa atmósfera que generan los coches y su contaminación. Tenía pues “la foto” con todos los ingredientes que me habían pedido y todo fruto de la casualidad y la improvisación.

El tema es que no siempre la exhaustiva planificación te lleva a conseguir la imagen deseada pero es cierto que ayuda bastante y también es cierto que a veces viene bien ese golpe de suerte. Gracias Rubén, eres un crack.

Antes de terminar esta entrada, comentar que además de las sesiones para realizadas para Longdayslongboards, también hicimos una sesión con la tabla y un coche deportivo. Una de las imágenes era muy planificada y realizada con el sistema rigshot. Espero próximamente dedicarle una entrada a ese tipo de imágenes que estoy seguro puede interesar a más de uno y además será más técnica que este entrada. Por cierto la foto que hice es para la revista 9republic y en estos momentos no la puedo mostrar hasta que no sea publicada pero quedó francamente bien y eso que tenía su dificultad de acompasar la velocidad del coche con la velocidad del patinador.
